The galaxy far, far away is getting a little scarier this Halloween. Lucasfilm and The LEGO® Group have just unleashed LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales on Disney+, a Halloween-themed special in the tradition of frighteningly fun animated celebrations of the past. But in a way, its origins stem from a different holiday season and special altogether.

“The idea to do a Halloween special sprung directly from the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special and all the success that came of that on Disney+,” executive producer Josh Rimes of Lucasfilm tells StarWars.com. “Much like holiday specials of the past, we started thinking about, ‘What else from our childhoods do we remember?’ And it was very natural to go to Halloween.”

LEGO Star Wars Terrifying Tales, the new Halloween-themed special from Lucasfilm and The LEGO Group, is now streaming on Disney+. Filled with chills and thrills, as well as trademark LEGO humor and Star Wars in-jokes, it’s a hilarious and hair-raising experience for all ages.

“With Halloween right around the corner, there’s no better way to celebrate than by indulging in your inner dark side!” executive producer Josh Rimes tells StarWars.com. “LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales is a celebration of the galaxy’s biggest, baddest villains through the whimsical, hilarious lens of the LEGO Star Wars galaxy. We can’t wait for families around the world to experience this delightfully hair-raising new adventure.”

Disney+ announced today that The Book of Boba Fett — the new Lucasfilm series teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian — will premiere on Wednesday, December 29, exclusively on the streaming service. StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that George Lucas, the legendary creator of Star Wars, will join Hasbro’s vaunted 6-inch Star Wars: The Black Series line of action figures. Created in celebration of Lucasfilm’s 50th anniversary and in tribute to its founder, the figure cleverly depicts Lucas in stormtrooper armor and comes with a removable helmet and blaster. Lucas reports in for duty in 2022.
