For light and life, we’ll soon have more Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures to enjoy.

Six new episodes of the preschool-age animated series are coming to our galaxy, arriving February 14 on Disney+ and Disney Junior. The new episodes complete the Emmy-winning first season, which introduced High Republic-era Jedi younglings Kai Brightstar, Lys Solay, and the adorable Nubs to fans.

„Young Jedi Adventures has invited the youngest audiences to take their first step into the Star Wars galaxy through the eyes of younglings Kai, Lys, Nubs, and their friend Nash,” says executive producer and Lucasfilm’s VP of animation development Josh Rimes. “The entire creative team is thrilled that audiences, critics, and awards groups have warmly embraced these stories and their core values of teamwork, friendship, and understanding.”

For the game’s 2023 sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the galaxy and the characters were now familiar territories and new questions drove the team.

“How do we take this blueprint and these foundations we’ve laid, and elevate them to the next level?” technical design director Brandon Kelch tells StarWars.com. “How do we really leverage everything we had done previously to realize

Building the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special

It was the early days of Disney+. Lucasfilm had the opportunity to tell new stories for the fledgling streaming service, and inspiration could come from anywhere. Even playtime.

“There was a moment with our LEGO partnership where we wanted to reassess all we’d done before and challenge ourselves to see if we could find a fresh new expression of that collaboration, and a way to lean more into the way kids play with their LEGO Star Wars toys — they dump them on the floor and mix and match them. They’re not timeline dependent. We wanted to unlock that whimsy and wonder that’s unique to LEGO play in our linear content, and find a way to celebrate that experience in our storytelling,” James Waugh, SVP, franchise content and strategy
