Star Wars: The Old Republic Celebrates 10 Years with Legacy of Sith Expansion and Stunning New Trailer

Like a parent who can’t believe how much their child has grown, even Charles Boyd seems surprised that Star Wars: The Old Republic is turning 10. Creative director of the MMPORG, he’s been with developer BioWare for 15 years and worked on the game throughout its lifespan. “It’s incredible,” he tells StarWars.com. “I’ll compare it to TV sometimes. It’s so special that BioWare and Lucasfilm Games are celebrating. To mark the milestone, a new expansion dubbed Legacy of the Sith arrives today, and with it a stunning trailer that’s more like a short animated film.

“Now we’re at our 10th anniversary as a live project, and we saw that as a really cool opportunity to pay

Star Wars Inside Intel: Mandalorian Armor

Star Wars Inside Intel is a StarWars.com feature where Lucasfilm Story Group member Emily Shkoukani, whose job is to know as much about a galaxy far, far away as possible, explores obscure facts about Star Wars lore and continuity. StarWars.com is shining a light on those who truly give the saga its power: the fans. In the StarWars.com Fan Spotlight, we’re honored to tell their stories.

Just as the Jedi of the High Republic can be linked directly to the Order seen in the Star Wars prequel era. the robes that transformed the host of the Star Wars: The High Republic Show into Jedi Master Krystina Arielle today owe a debt to costumer Trisha Biggar’s immaculate designs.

There’s no detail too small for fan costumer Caitlin Jacques, who poured over real-world historical research and screen-accurate costume resources to create Arielle’s formal Temple robes, rugged mission attire, and an array of battle banners clipped from the pages of Star Wars: The High Republic.
