You’re Invited to the Wedding of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Queen’s Hope – Exclusive Excerpt

Author E.K. Johnston has been a fan of Padmé Amidala since she was 15 years old, watching the prequels and falling in love with the character and her story. “I still kind of want to be her when I grow up,” Johnston quips.

With the third book in her Amidala trilogy, a sequel to Queen’s Shadow, in Star Wars: Queen’s Hope Johnston will explore Padmé at her happiest, at the beginning of her marriage to Anakin Skywalker. “It was SO NICE to write them when they’re happy,” Johnston tells StarWars.com. “Obviously, the spectre of death hangs over their entire relationship, and it turns toxic because they never talk about their feelings, but these early days are light and optimistic, and I deeply enjoyed ushering them through it. From the Pages of Star Wars Insider: Going in for the Kuiil – Exclusive Excerpt

While many characters from The Mandalorian have resonated with Star Wars fans, Kuiil remains particularly beloved. The wise Ugnaught risked everything so that Grogu might live, proving to be as honorable and brave as any Star Wars hero. Nick Nolte voiced Kuiil with an endearingly warm-hearted gruffness, but that’s only a fraction of what it took to fully realize the character; performance artist Misty Rosas physically played the role, developing Kuiil’s mannerisms and bringing him to life on-screen. In this exclusive excerpt of Star Wars Insider #206, which arrives November 2, writer Amy Richau speaks with Rosas about her experience portraying Kuiil in the Disney+ series.

Star Wars Insider: What was your introduction to the Star Wars saga?

6 Highlights from The Book of Boba Fett Trailer

Today, Lucasfilm and Disney+ debuted an action-packed trailer and key art for The Book of Boba Fett, the new live-action series launching on December 29.

First teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett continues the adventures of Boba and Fennec Shand as they navigate the underworld and stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Now with our first glimpse at the series, we find Boba Fett looking to make his mark through unity and respect instead of sheer domination. Watch the thrilling new trailer for yourself below, then read on for our favorite moments.

Whip, Whip, Stir: Creating The Life Day Cookbook

For the past six years I’ve had the joy and honor of creating all of the StarWars.com recipes that families can use to share their love of Star Wars. One hundred and twenty plus recipes later, I still love when people tag me on social media so I can see their interpretations.

Part of the fun of creating inspired recipes is using the vast Star Wars lore to recreate versions of foods that would exist in the Star Wars galaxy. My favorite food scene isn’t what you’d expect — it’s not Rey making Portion Bread in seconds (though I did that), nor is it Aunt Beru’s Blue Milk (I did that, too).

My favorite Star Wars food scene is from 1978’s Star Wars Holiday Special where Malla tries to stir,

On the Comlink: Celebrating the Scary Side of Star Wars

On the Comlink is a feature in which StarWars.com writers hop on a call (virtual or old fashioned) and discuss a specific Star Wars topic. In this installment to celebrate Halloween, Kristin Baver, Dan Brooks, James Floyd, and Jennifer Landa talk about their favorite frightening moments, how their fears have changed over the years of watching Star Wars, and why the villains of the galaxy were made for this spine-tingling holiday.

Kristin Baver: We’re here to talk about scary Star Wars stories, which I’m very excited about. Halloween is [my favorite and Dan Brooks’s] favorite holiday, which I think shows on the website because there’s just a boatload of Halloween content. But also, I think Star Wars really lends itself to that. To start us off, I’m curious what you think: is Star
