4 Reasons Salacious Crumb is Scarier Than You Might Think

Being a Kowakian monkey-lizard means you don’t get much respect. But judge this creature by its size, you must not. Especially one that goes by the name of Salacious B. Crumb. It might seem odd to label Salacious as a creature worthy to be feared, especially when the galaxy is filled with scary beasts and villains. However, as Star Wars has shown us, it’s always the one cackling in the corner that we should be most afraid of. (We’re looking at you, Palpatine.) If you’re still not convinced of this creature’s prowess, here are some reasons why Salacious B. Crumb is scarier than you might think — just in time for Halloween!

1. He knows all the secrets.

Throughout his time as Jabba’s jester, Salacious saw a lot of

Star Wars Inside Intel: The Nihil Hierarchy

Star Wars Inside Intel is a StarWars.com feature where Lucasfilm Story Group member Emily Shkoukani, whose job is to know as much about a galaxy far, far away as possible, explores obscure facts about Star Wars lore and continuity. Why Bor Gullet Freaks Me Out More Than Anything Else in Star Wars

“The thing in the shadows repelled him, offended him on a level too intimate for words.” — Rogue One: A Star Wars Story novelization by Alexander Freed

In a galaxy filled with strange and unusual creatures, Bor Gullet stands out (slithers out?) as the creepiest.

Star Wars certainly has its share of creatures that go bump in the dark, from the shrieking mynocks in the depths of a cavernous asteroid to the snarling vexis lurking in the dim caves beneath the sands of Pasaana. But none are as sinister and spine-tingling as Bor Gullet, which made its unforgettable debut in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. And as it’s the season for all things creepy, it seemed an appropriate time to talk about why.
