In Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, You’ll Encounter Anthony Daniels’ C-3PO…and Meet Master Yoda

From the lightsaber-wielding fun of Trials on Tatooine through the intense, story-driven Vader Immortal, ILMxLAB has continually pushed the boundaries of experiential storytelling in virtual reality. (And, let’s face it — seeing Darth Vader walk toward you is just kind of awesome.) Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge looks to be the next leap forward, bringing Star Wars fans to Batuu — the world seen in Disneyland® Resort and Walt Disney World® Resort at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge — where they’ll encounter barkeep Seezelslak (played by Bobby Moynihan) and be transported to different eras of the saga through his stories.

Today at Facebook Connect, ILMxLAB pulled back the curtain just a little further on Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, debuting a new teaser along with some major reveals: Anthony Daniels will reprise

The Mandalorian Season Two: 5 Things We Love From the New Trailer

This is the one.

When we first embarked on our journey with The Mandalorian, we didn’t expect the lone hunter would end up saving the Child to become a clan of two. Now, with the first (and highly-anticipated) official trailer for Season Two—as well as stunning new key art!—we get a glimpse at what’s yet to come.

The Mandalorian and the Child are inseparable, but their journey has only just begun. Here are five of our favorite moments and details from the new trailer, which debuted today.

1. Is that… throat singing?

The bass recorder used for the series theme last season introduced the masterful soundtrack composed by Ludwig Göransson. This season, we can expect the music to expand once more, introducing new instrumentation and the unmistakable sound of

5 Things You Might Not Know About Mustafar

In the far reaches of the Outer Rim, a small, smoldering planet silently traverses its orbit in the Atravis sector. Caught between the planets Jestefed and Lefrani, the molten world is covered in volcanoes and rivers of lava. But don’t let the seemingly barren landscape of the planet of Mustafar fool you. It’s a hotspot in the history of the galaxy, and not just because of the searing lava bubbling in explosive bursts across its acrid plains.

From ancient Force secrets, to its hidden native inhabitants, to a certain Dark Lord of the Sith, the lava planet has a long history waiting to be discovered. With Halloween season upon us, this seemed the perfect time to investigate one of the galaxy’s most haunting locales.

With the Star Wars: Squadrons CG Short “Hunted,” EA, Motive Studios, and ILM Tell a New Kind of Star Wars Story

Industrial Light & Magic legend John Knoll’s visual effects resume already includes the Star Wars prequels, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and The Mandalorian. But working on a Star Wars: Squadrons computer generated (CG) short was an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.

“I really admired cinematics from older Star Wars games. I think they’re wonderful stories,” Knoll tells StarWars.com. “It was kind of irresistible to have been offered to work on a standalone short. I felt like we had to do it.”

Squadrons arrives October 2 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and virtual reality, promising to bring classic Star Wars dogfights to new interactive heights. And to mark its pending arrival, Knoll and ILM collaborated with Electronic Arts and Motive Studios to craft a thrilling CG short, “Hunted.” “If you’re going to tell

A Padawan Faces the Jedi Trials in Marvel’s Star Wars: The High Republic #1 – Exclusive Preview

There’s something at once novel and familiar about the new era of Star Wars storytelling, a fact made immediately clear by the initial pages of the upcoming Marvel Star Wars: The High Republic comic series. “You’ll see things you never expected in a Star Wars story,” says writer Cavan Scott.

The era, set some 200 years before the events in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, has only been glimpsed in concept art showing bold new characters and hinting at a more opulent era for the Jedi peacekeepers. Now, we’re ready to take our first steps into that sumptuous world, with interior pages as well as a cover by artist Phil Noto.

Scott was part of the core team of authors who gathered at Skywalker Ranch in 2018 to help forge
