Empire at 40 | 6 Things We Learned from ILM’s Livestream Celebration of Empire at 40

On May 21, 1980, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back made its theatrical debut. To celebrate the classic film’s landmark 40th anniversary, presents Empire at 40,” a special series of interviews, editorial features, and listicles.

With the success of the original Star Wars film, production on the sequel, The Empire Strikes Back, was an opportunity for creator George Lucas to grow his own special effects Empire, Industrial Light & Magic.

On Thursday, ILM icons Dennis Muren, Joe Johnston, Phil Tippett, and Lorne Peterson got together for a special online panel hosted by ILM model maker and Visual Effects Supervisor Bill George. In over an hour spent reminiscing, the special effects luminaries shared a number of fascinating stories, anecdotes, and memories.

Here are six things we learned while watching.

Hallo zusammen,


vor ca. 2 Jahren habe ich nach langer Spielpause mein Konto deaktivieren lassen. Nun wollte ich das Spiel mal wieder antesten und wollte mich einloggen. Da kam nun eine Mitteilung, dass es ein Problem mit dem Benutzerkonto gibt und ich eine E-Mail mit Anweisungen erhlten würde. Dies ist aber nicht geschehen.

Dann habe ich vor 2 Tagen eine Mail von dem Mail-Account, der bei dem Spiel hinterlegt ist, an [edit: email address removed] geschrieben (hab dort zugegebenermaßen meinen Benutzernamen vergessen zu erwähnen). Bisher keine Reaktion.

Dann habe ich gestern eine Mail an EA-Hilfe geschrieben und den Fall geschildert. In der Antwort stand, ich solle den Support via Chat kontaktieren. Die Option ist aber nicht vorhanden, wenn ich über diesen Fall auf Kontaktoptionen klicke. Das habe ich gestern nochmal per Mail so geschildert und seitdem warte ich auf eine Antwort.


Gibt es noch eine andere Möglichkeit, den Account wieder zu aktivieren? Kann man noch anders mit dem Support in Chat-Kontakt kommen, außer über die Öffnung eines Falles? Ich würde das Problem einfach nur gerne aus der Welt schaffen.
