6 Scary Star Wars Planets

The Star Wars galaxy is home to many different types of planets. But not all are as picturesque as Naboo, or exciting Coruscant. Some are home to ancient evils, some are even home to witches. As we enjoy the creepiest time of year, here’s a closer look at six of the scariest Star Wars planets. Next time you visit the galaxy far, far away, set your coordinates elsewhere!

1. Malachor

Malachor is quite literally a dark planet with an equally dark history to match. Home to a large, ancient Sith temple, Malachor is a world that young Jedi have always been taught to avoid. As seen in Star Wars Rebels, Kanan Jarrus, Ezra Bridger, and Ahsoka Tano travel to the planet in search of a way to defeat the Inquisitors. During

Cavan Scott on the Ghoulactic Horrors of Tales from the Death Star

For writer Cavan Scott, there’s no mystery as to why Halloween and Star Wars go so well together.

“Ask anyone who has gone trick or treating as Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker!” he tells StarWars.com. “Star Wars has been scary from the start. I mean, there’s a werewolf in the cantina. And that’s before you get to wampas, witches, and brain worms!”

He would know. Scott has turned spine-tingling Star Wars stories into an annual Halloween tradition, writing several all-ages comic book anthologies over the last few years. And he has returned from the depths (of his busy schedule) for a new creepy collection.

Star Wars: Tales from the Death Star, available now, features several short scary tales, all set in the Empire’s technological terror. There are monsters, ghosts, and more fun
