StarWars.com is excited to reveal Star Wars: The Rise of the Galactic Empire, a new book from DK Publishing that promises to examine the intricacies of Imperial rule. Written by Dr. Chris Kempshall, a historian and co-author of Star Wars: Battles that Changed the Galaxy, it will explore the dark times from stories across mediums, including movies, games, series, books, and comics, with chapters covering every aspect of the Emperor’s regime. The Rise of the Galactic Empire arrives July 9, and you can get a first look at the cover below.

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Aspyr and Lucasfilm Games revealed Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection, which will see the beloved Star Wars Battlefront (2004) and Star Wars Battlefront II (2005) introduced to a new generation. Coming March 14 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation5, PlayStation4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam for $35.01, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection features restored online play for up to 64 players, expansions to Hero Assault mode, and all previously released bonus content for both titles. Steam users will also enjoy Steam Deck support.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Is Here!

Star Wars: The Bad Batch's Executive Producers Gear Up for One Last Mission

It’s not easy being the Bad Batch, but lately it’s been especially rough. Last year on Star Wars: The Bad Batch, our favorite clone squad lost its brother and science whiz Tech, was betrayed by a supposed ally, and saw young Omega snatched by Imperial mad scientist Dr. Royce Hemlock. To borrow a phrase Obi-Wan Kenobi, they were dark times.

“When we first started this show, we had hoped that we could get three seasons to tell this story,“ executive producer and head writer Jennifer Corbett tells StarWars.com. „We kicked Season 1 off with Order 66 and the team trying to figure out where they fit in the galaxy.
